Museum Visit: The Cinema Museum

The Cinema Museum is tucked away amongst a series of building just a short walk from the corner of our school. Upon entering, it was a turn back in time where the interior is relatively designed to mimic the atmosphere cinema goers used to experience in the past.

The first level was filled with collections of cinema antiques, from cinema time tables, car park signs and paintings of actors and actresses.

Most of the way to the second level are decorated with Charlie Chaplin posters, figurines, and this all leads to a huge hall where the cinema is, bar and also an area with books sold to fundraise the museum. I think the cinema bar is one of the coolest places I’ve ever seen.

It is interesting how each and every museum evokes a different feeling to its visitors. A specific kind of museum like this one garners much of its genre fans’ interests, and I appreciate this dedication into creating the museum, especially those who have started the idea by oneself, slowly building up their collections and to share the memories with others.
